REAL ESTATE 92118 – CORONADO ISLAND
Quiet Residential

Moving to Country Club Estates

For movers who want a calm residential street and a settled feel.

QUIET RESIDENTIAL · OCTOBER 2026

Country Club Estates is a good match for movers who want a calm street. It sits at the northwest end of the island, next to Naval Air Station North Island, and takes its name from the Coronado Country Club, which closed in 1952.

The feel
Quiet and residential, with a settled, tucked-away feel.
Homes
Single-family houses on residential streets, many of them updated.
Getting around
By car or bike. Near Naval Air Station North Island on the island's northwest end.
Plan for
Aircraft activity, renovation quality and permits, and systems behind newer finishes.

What a first visit should test

  • Listen. Aircraft activity is part of daily life near North Island. Stand outside at different times of day to judge how it feels.
  • Walk a loop. Notice the street layout, lot sizes and how far you are from the Village.
  • Compare with the Village. See whether a quieter neighborhood or a walkable one suits you better.

Setting up life here

The neighborhood is largely residential, so most errands mean a short drive or bike ride. The area was developed after the country club closed, so the housing is generally newer than in the Village, which is part of why the feel is so different.

Planning the purchase

Many homes here have been renovated. Ask what was updated, who did the work and whether permits were pulled. Older systems can sit behind new kitchens and bathrooms, so inspections matter.

Move-in checklist

  • Ask about renovation records and warranties.
  • Have plumbing, electrical and roofing evaluated by specialists if the inspector recommends it.
  • Confirm insurance costs before you close.

Rudy can show you a few homes here alongside options in the Village so you can compare how each feels. Coronado home types compared explains how the island's home types stack up against one another.
